Rebecca felt the world spinning faster than usual. She leaned back, stunned by the reality she had just heard.
“I made a mistake, again,” she murmured, staring blankly at the ceiling.
Cassie winced, patting Rebecca’s shoulder empathetically. “You have to stop this, Becky, before it’s too late,” she said, glancing occasionally at the door, wary of Sean, who could appear at any moment.
Rebecca looked over at Lily sleeping in the bouncer, biting her lip before saying, “How?” in a weary voice.
“We can’t confront someone like Sean, or the Nicholas Bennett incident will happen again,” Cassie said, her eyes still watching the entrance.
“Then what do you suggest I do?” Rebecca asked, her tone devoid of energy.
“Escape,” Cassie whispered dramatically.
Rebecca snorted, “Escape? Didn’t you see where I ended up the last time I tried to run away? I don’t have the means for that. Whatever Sean intends for me and Lily, he’ll catch us quickly. And then there’s Victoria. If she finds out Sean and I split, she’ll come after Lily to eliminate her from this world,” she sighed deeply, shaking her head in despair.
Cassie scratched her head, unable to deny Rebecca’s words. “I and Becky Brushes will help you, somehow. But you need to think about this plan. I mean, you know your marriage isn’t going to work out,” she rambled cautiously.
Rebecca swallowed hard and nodded stiffly.
“Act normal so Sean doesn’t get suspicious. I think he’s back!” Cassie whispered as they heard the door open from outside. She quickly jumped onto the carpet, unpacking the two shopping bags she brought.
“I like that one!” Rebecca shouted, catching on to Cassie’s act. She pointed to a cute pink mirror Cassie was holding.
“Yeah, this is pretty! I think you should make time to meet with them occasionally I mean, they, well we. are fane who…:11.

communication going to make your career skyrocket!” Cassie rambled, secretly watching Sean from the hand mirror she held.
“Knock, knock!” Sean called out, making Rebecca and Cassie turn towards him, both feigning surprise as if they hadn’t noticed his presence.
“Hey, you’re back. What is that?” Rebecca asked, glancing at the shopping bags in Sean’s
arms.
“Just some kitchen stuff. I’ll cook for lunch. Cassie, wanna join us for lunch?” Sean asked, no longer looking as menacing as he did when he left the house earlier.
Cassie grinned widely, “Sure! I love free lunch!” she exclaimed as if nothing had happened. Rebecca winced, surprised at how good an actress Cassie was.
As Sean headed to the kitchen, Rebecca decided to get up and join him. She didn’t know what she would do next, but for now, she had no choice but to pretend she was oblivious about Sean. Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.
“What are you going to make?” she asked, watching Sean unpack the groceries.
“Spaghetti Allo Scoglio and some salad. What do you think?” Sean responded casually.
Rebecca nodded, “Sounds good. Is there anything I can help with?” she asked, trying to make Sean believe she wasn’t planning anything against him.
“Sure, can you help with this?” Sean placed a box of seafood in front of Rebecca, his face looking pleased that she was no longer acting cold.
“Wow, this is so good! Well done, chef!” Cassie exclaimed as she chewed the spaghetti in her mouth. Sean smiled widely, and from his expression, Rebecca was sure he didn’t suspect anything.
“Um, Sean, actually Cassie suggested I get back on social media, so I plan to have a meeting with Becky Brushes because, after all, they are the ones who will support my career,” Rebecca said casually to avoid Sean’s suspicion.
“That’s a good idea. I can watch Lily for you,” Sean replied, making Rebecca and Cassie exchange surprised looks.
Rebecca winced, “Yeah, thanks,” she replied, feeling foolish for not considering that Sean would offer to take care of Lily and realizing she had no excuse to refuse.

The next day.
“Um, I’ll be back before dinner. Are you sure you guys will be okay?” Rebecca asked, crouching next to Lily’s bouncer.
Sean smiled, “Of course, we’ll be fine!”
Rebecca swallowed hard, worried about leaving Lily with Sean after hearing about the domestic violence he committed against Maggie, but she had to go because Cassie promised to help her find the best way out.
“Thanks, Sean,” she said, kissing Lily’s forehead and waving at Sean.
She left the house with heavy steps, pausing for a moment to rethink her plan. How could she be so cruel to leave her daughter with someone as temperamental as Sean?
She clenched her fists, confused, when suddenly her phone vibrated; it was Cassie.
“Becky? Are you on your way?”
Rebecca swallowed hard, “I don’t know, Cassie. I’m not sure about leaving Lily with Sean, I mean-”
“Don’t worry, she will be fine. Just come here, okay? Everyone’s waiting,” Cassie said amidst the crowd.
“I’m afraid something will happen to Lily. I won’t forgive myself if it does,” Rebecca said, gripping her phone tightly.
“Becky, someone will make sure Lily is safe until you get back,” Cassie said cautiously, making Rebecca frown in confusion.
“What are you talking about?”
Soon after, she saw a cab pull over, and a man stepped out, wearing a hoodie and mask that almost completely covered his face, but Rebecca could recognize his sharp, charismatic eyes.
She approached the man and grabbed his arm,
“Harvey? What are you doing here?”
Harvey looked up, surprised.

“Becky, you met Harvey already?” Cassie exclaimed, still on the phone.
Rebecca frowned,
“Cassie, you better explain everything to me now! Why did Harvey suddenly appear in front of my house? Is the person you said would watch over Lily from Sean actually him?” she rambled without taking her eyes off Harvey, who stared back unblinkingly.
Cassie cleared her throat twice,
“Yes, um, I called him last night…”
Rebecca let out a long sigh; everything was getting more complicated.
