Chapter 54: Olivier, Fleur Hit Me Today
Chapter 54: Olivier, Fleur Hit Me Today
Fleur did not know why she was so certain she would win at first. Probably because she saw the way
Olivier no longer pushed her away even letting her touch him however she wanted to with him reacting
immediately to it, so she agreed to this gamble. She would only realise later on that Olivier had no
interest in The Stunning Club at all.
......
The night glowed with decadence.
Olivier unlocked his Maybach as they reached the parking lot. He was just about to enter the driver's
side when:
"Olivier, where's your driver, Raoul?"
Olivier turned around. "Why?"
Fleur went up and tugged his sleeve. "Why are you always the one driving? Is your driver hired just to
slack off?"
"What are you doing?"
"Let your driver drive. You can sit in the backseat with me." It was an opportunity to be intimate with
each other.
Olivier ground his teeth. He slammed the car door shut and glowered. "What is wrong with you?"
"Nothing's wrong with me."
"Then why do you always make me lose my temper?"
"...Then don't lose your temper. Call Raoul for him to come here."
A faint, almost imperceptible smile flashed across Olivier's lips, whether out of some hysterical sense of
anger or whatnot. It was so fast Fleur did not see it.
As they say, "If you can't beat them, join them".
"You really like me, huh?"
"Of course, I'm absolutely mad for you." Fleur went into his arms, hugging him closely.
Just then, light pierced her eyes, making her close them. When Fleur opened, there was a red Porsche
beside them, with a woman inside looking at them. Her eyes met Olivier's.
Virginie's eyes revealed her shock and astonishment, as well as deep sadness.
It seemed her injuries were not serious, discharged this early from the hospital.
Fleur looked up at Olivier. With the light illuminating his face, his expression became imperceptible.
But Fleur knew he was staring at Virginie.
Fleur slowly stood up straight, hands still around Olivier's waist. To be honest, she had never felt so
frustrated with a man. Whether he was being impulsive or not, whenever Virginie appeared, even if it
was a phone call, was enough to distract him.
There was the sound of a car door opening behind her, then Virginie's soft voice rang, "Miss Leroy, may
I have a moment with Olivier?"
Fleur did not expect Virginie who had the pride of some rich family's pampered daughter to ask her
permission to talk to Olivier.
Fleur turned to Olivier, "What do you say?"
Olivier gazed at her, eyes full of unfathomable emotion. "Wait for me in the car."
"Be quick."
"Mm."
Only then did Fleur let go of him. She looked at Virginie, now noticing the bandage around her
forehead. She was dressed plainly, wearing flats, looking especially delicate and pale.
...Olivier was very likely feeling sorry for her.
"Miss Lopez, please hurry up. It's very late."
Virginie said nothing, perhaps unwilling to speak to her again. Fleur went into the car's passenger seat.
The Porsche's headlights had already been turned off when Virginie got off the car, so the night had
returned to its dusky air. Her gaze on Olivier gradually turned sorrowful.
Her brows furrowed as she stared at him weakly, wanting to speak several times but not knowing what
to say. That helpless feeling twisted inside her like snakes. As tough as she wanted to be, she felt it
would not last long.
Moreover, being the eldest daughter of the Lopez family made her guilt seem all the more despicable.
It was silent between them. Olivier never moved, hands casually in his pockets as he stood and waited.
After a few minutes, Virginie called, "Olivier."
That word contained countless grievances. It had only been five days for her relationship with him to be
turned upside down. She...really should not have rejected his proposal.
Olivier stayed silent, giving off a mature aura, only his shadow splayed on the ground.NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
Virginie slowly approached him but stopped half a meter away. With reddish eyes she gazed at him, as
if about to cry yet not, a fragile sight that could easily incite pity.
"I..." Virginie wanted to speak but the words got stuck in her throat. Her pride stopped her from
speaking, yet she wanted to try.
"Are you mad at me?" She said very softly. "That's why you kept Fleur, a KTV owner, around you."
Everyone would instantly see Fleur as a harlot once word got out who she was. No man would take
responsibility for this kind of reputation.
Olivier's voice was so low Virginie could not hear anything at first. "Why would I be mad at you? I've
told you, you're not as smart as you think. Stop blindly guessing."
"Olivier," Virginie called his name again. "Why don't we go back to five days ago? Before you knew this
woman, before being involved with her."
"Why, don't want to lose me?" Olivier clapped back.
Virginie felt as her heart tremble violently. She felt wronged and indescribably sad. She threw herself at
him, hugging him. "I don't want to lose you. I really don't want to lose you, Olivier."
Olivier had grabbed and pulled her away in less than five seconds. Virginie finally saw his eyes this
close up.
They were as dark as the night sky, with not a single bit of light. There was so much...distance in them.
Her heart jumped.
"I can't have another woman when I already have one."
Virginie was shocked stunned by those words, staring dazed at him.
"Miss Lopez, truthfully you just don't want to lose a man who is willing to do anything for you, pamper
and eat out of your hands. I thought you had finally grown tired when you rejected my proposal, but
now it seems you're still being greedy."
Virginie's spine turned numb. Olivier had never spoke to her like this. He had always been gentle and
patient.
"I'm sorry." A gust of wind sent those words into his ears. Virginie's frail body looked even more fragile
and pitiful with it. Her voice was pleading. "Can you please forgive my insolence?"
Olivier neither moved nor spoke, his eyes emotionlessly staring ahead.
"Fleur hit me today at the hospital, plus with her scheming against me a few days ago...I really don't
like her...If... if you really want to find a girlfriend, can you at least choose someone else, Olivier? "
Virginie wanted to see what Olivier would say to that.
Five seconds later, he asked, "Where did she hit you?"
