Under the Moon Soaked in the Rain
Under the Moon, Soaked in the Rain
Kelly's POV
I held my breath for a while before I blew it roughly while sitting on the bed. The house was old but it had complete furniture. I was also amazed by how the mansion stayed beautiful in spite of the fact that no one's taking care of it.
"You should sleep now," Pierce whispered as he sat beside me and held my hand. "I'll look after you.”
I nodded and slowly lay on the bed. He lay beside me, bugged my waist and started brushing my hair using his fingers.
"I was so scared earlier," I whispered. "I thought we'd lose each other."
He shook his head and kissed my hair. "No one's losing anyone, Kelly."
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, I was almost dozing off when I heard Mason's loud voice followed by a series of bangs on the door.
"GET UP!"
I got
the bed, following Pierce as he walked towards the door and opened it. I saw Mason knocking on another door and Matt went out of that room. He looked worried and miserable. I know he wants to save Emily, but he still needs to rest to recover.
"SARA!" Mason banged the door on the other room. "Damn it!"
He went back in front of us. "I'm gonna find Sara. Go to the forest part behind this house. Dad's men are scattered on the entry road, blocking us.”
My eyes widened. "What?"
"Just fcking go, Kelly! You too, Matt!"
"I'm not leaving you here, Mason!"
"I still need to find your stubborn aunt!"
Matt shook his head but I grabbed his arm, earning his attention.
"Mason will be fine. He'll find us later," I paused and turned to Mason. "Right?"
He immediately nodded and handed a car key to Pierce. "There's a road at the end of the forest. There's a car hidden in there. If I don't come within 15 minutes, leave."
"Goddamn it, Mason! We're not gonna leave you here-
“I'll find another way, Matt. They won't kill me. You know that. They're here for Kelly and if you want your cousin to survive, you'll do as I say."
Matt swallowed hard and stared at his twin before he glanced at me. He nodded and offered me his hand. I held his hand before I looked at Pierce.
"Use this," Mason gave Matt a gun which shocked the latter.
Matt accepted the gun after a few seconds and held my hand tighter. We started walking away from Mason while Pierce was
following us.
"I'll lead the way," Pierce said and walked in front of us, I kept on staring at my husband while Matt's guiding me.
Under The Moon, Soaked in the Rain
We're running again. Running for our lives. The forest was dark and our only light was the moon. I want to think that we'll survive this night but I don't wanna disappoint myself. No matter what we do, we'll be chased by Connor Foster and I know he won't stop
until he succeeds in killing me.
A gunshot echoed in the silence of the night. My eyes widened as I looked back.
"KELLY!"
I gasped. Connor Foster's here. He's lost it. He personally came here to kill me.
Another hand grabbed my hand. I looked at the owner of the hand holding mine. It was Pierce and he's looking at me with
darkened eyes.
"Keep running, Kelly," Matt whispered. "Take her, Pierce,"
I shook my head and turned to Matt, "What are you going to do?"
He clenched his jaws. “Dad won't hurt me."
"You're not sure about that!" I growled at him and held his hand again. "Let's go. You still need to find Emily and take care of
her."
Matt gently took my hand from him and smiled. “I won't die this way, Kelly."
I shook my head again. "You're still injured and your wound is already bleeding!"
Hé clenched his jaws and looked at Pierce. Pierce, on the other hand, held my hand tighter. “We need to go, Kelly. We'll wait for them at the end of the forest."
I couldn't do anything anymore. I feel so stupid for being weak in this situation. I want to help but the only help I could give was keeping my baby safe.
I saw hope when I saw the end of the forest and there's indeed a road. We're almost there when someone jumped on Pierce and they rolled down the road. "Pierce!"
He accidentally dropped his gun. I immediately followed the gun and picked it up but someone hit my head.
"Kelly!"
I groaned and fell on the ground. My lips parted when something cold fell on my shoulders and I realized it's raining
"Fck you!" I heard Pierce's voice cursing someone.
I looked at him and I saw him exchanging punches with Connor. My lips parted, He's already here? Then what about Matt and
Mason?
"Worry about yourself, Kelly. Because you're gonna die today." It was Diane, standing in front of me.
I gritted my teeth. My head hurts because of what she did to me. But it didn't stop me from glaring at her. "You're still alive, you witch?" I growled at her.

From the corner of my eyes, I saw the gun I dropped. I calculated my distance from the gun and I knew I wouldn't make it. I'm
probably bleeding to death before I could reach the gun.
I landed my gaze on Pierce and he's badly beaten already but he's still fighting. Connor Foster is part of a syndicate and he's used to fighting and hand to hand combat.
Under the Moon, Soaked in the Rain
"NO!" I shouted when Gonnor hit Pierce's head against the concrete road.
I kicked Diane Foster's leg and she immediately lost her balance. She hit her head on the huge rock and lost consciousness. I rolled to the ground and grabbed the gun. I pointed it at Connor Foster but before I could pull the trigger, he grabbed Pierce's
beaten body and used him as his shield.
Connor's evil laugh filled the supposed peaceful night. Tears rolled down my cheeks, joining the mud and raindrops on my face.
I swallowed hard, thinking about what I should do.
"Come on, Kelly. Shoot me!" He said and laughed again.
"You coward!" I growled angrily.
He looked triggered and he slowly took a gun from his back. I lifted my chin and pressed my lips together as I gripped the gun tighter. He pointed a gun at me.
"You should've stayed hidden, Kelly. You shouldn't have dug the past. You shouldn't have stolen my company!"
I
led my teeth. "Then, I'm sorry, Connor but I'm not sorry for doing those things. You should rot in jail
for all the evil things you did-"
"YOU ARE THE EVIL, KELLY! YOU RUINED MY PERFECTLY INTACT FAMILY. SARA REBELLED AGAINST ME. MY SONS LEFT ME! YOU DID THIS TO MY FAMILY"
I smirked. "You deserve to fall painfully, Connor. You deserve it."
After I said those words, I pulled the trigger and the bullet from my gun hit his shoulder. He groaned and let go of Pierce who fell on the ground and rolled to the road. My eyes widened when I saw a car coming and it might hit Pierce. I got distracted and I didn't realize Connor was already near and he immediately grabbed my hair.
I screamed in pain
heavy rain, but he didn't stop. He dragged me by the hair and because the soil was wet from the
heavy rain, he tripped and slid. I got a chance to crawl away from him but he grabbed my leg and pulled me back.
I kicked his face and crawled away again. I successfully got away from him and tried to run to get the gun
II dropped again but as soon as I touched the gun, a loud gunshot filled my ear and I was frozen in place as my vision started getting blurry as tears pooled in my eyes.
