EPISODE 7 Best friends for life
TWO WEEKS LATER
MOON STONE PACK
Meagan Swift was adorned in an old fashioned long black dress, a cape over it, her long black hair flowed down her back and a pointed hat sat on her head. A wand was on her left hand and a stuffed toy cat in her right hand to represent a familiar witch in the supernatural world – Allison the witch of Maridom.
Meagan stared at the mysterious smoke-eyed powerful witch that was famous as a great fortune teller. Meagan blinked severally as she stared at the mirror just to make sure the woman staring back at her was really Meagan Swift. The make up artist that worked on her face had done a great job at giving her this look.
Out of all the werewolves histories Meagan has read in her life – Allison the witch of Maridom seems to be her favorite icon.
Meagan sighed as she faced Hazel. “Don’t you think this costume is a bit too much?” She asked.
Hazel raised her eyebrows. “Too much?”
“I don’t know… that’s how I am feeling.” Meagan looked back at her reflection in the mirror.
Hazel studied her long time best friend with a smug smile on her face. “What’s too much about your costume? The fact that I can see your cleavage? Or how sexy and hot you look in the costume?” Hazel demanded.
“Everything you just mentioned.” Meagan replied as she continued to stared at her reflection in the mirror.
Hazel had provided the costume for Meagan knowing how much she loves the famous witch. The old fashioned gown was perfect on her, it has a square-cut neckline with off shoulder and short puff sleeves that revealed more skin than Meagan was accustomed to showing. Her long black hair brushed her bare shoulder. The gown showed off her curves making her waist look smaller, large hoop earrings dangling from ears and bangle bracelet clinked with movement on her wrists.
Hazel rolled her eyes after watching Meagan just sharing at the mirror. “I picked the costume because you like Allison. Don’t you like it?”
Meagan lifted her arm a little higher just to make sure everything that was supposed to be covered remained that way. The bracelet jangled with the movement.
“I like the costume. It’s unique and beautiful.” Meagan said aloud.
Hazel smiled and clapped her hand excitedly. “I know this costume would look good on you! I am so glad you didn’t turn down my offer to help with the costume.”
“Oh Hazel, I appreciate your help. I mean.. attending your wedding will give me a chance to at least have some fun.” Meagan smiled happily at her best friend.
“I know you must have worked yourself like crazy at the hospital. There is absolutely no way you would have made to my wedding or even let me pick out a costume for you if not for the yearly leave from work.” Excitement was clear on Hazel’s face.
“You look good, Meagan.” Brianna said.
On the very day Meagan arrived at moon stone pack, Hazel had introduced Brianna to her as Julius younger sister and also a bridesmaid in the upcoming nuptials.
Brianna pushed lightly past Meagan to claim the full length mirror. “So how do I look, ladies?” She asked.
“Fabulous.” Hazel replied.
Meagan studied Brianna’s outfit. She did look stunning in her warrior princess costume. Brianna waited for Meagan to say something instead of staring at her.
“You look beautiful.” Meagan admitted.
The sparkling eyeshadow and black eyeliner made Brianna’s eyes look dangerous and mysterious against her flawless skin.
Brianna beamed over her shoulder at the compliment. “Thank you, Meagan.”
“We all look gorgeous.” She added with a satisfying look on her face.
Hazel turned back at the make up artist who was still busy with Alice another wolf who came from another pack to serve as a bridesmaid in Hazel’s wedding.
Alice was dressed as Lila the Queen of Rogues who fell in love with an alpha and ended up becoming a famous Luna in the history of the wolves. Well Alice had stated it that she hope to find her better half during the event.
All the costumes they had on were out of ordinary. Meagan, Brianna and Alice had given Hazel the chance to pick out their costumes knowing that the result would be interesting. Hazel was good at styling people up for events.
Hazel and Meagan had known each other since junior high school, having met in an all girls boarding school. Meagan and Hazel had been randomly selected as roommates for the first session with two other girls. At first when Meagan’s mom found out that her daughter was the only human in the room among three wolves, she felt uncomfortable and filed a complaint to the school authority.
It wasn’t hard to recognize wolves from the humans at school because their eyes colors looked differently. But in a world where wolves and humans coexist without the fear of who is the predator or prey is, Mrs Taylor Swift letter was declined after some days. It was in the school rules that segregation shouldn’t be happening among the students.
Mrs Taylor Swift was given the assurance that her daughter was in safe hands after seeing a copy of the peace treaty that has been signed with the leader of all wolf packs to ensure the safety of humans.
Meagan was never scared of wolves because she has met many of them, both good and bad wolves. The quiet and shy Meagan Swift was always all by herself and trying not get in the nerves of her roommates as she observed each of them closely.
Although they were all good to her but she liked Hazel the most. The other two wolves were in other higher grades but Hazel was in same grade with Meagan.
By the third week in boarding school, Meagan and Hazel had become close and very good friends. And their relationship had survived for many years even when they weren’t roommates.
They went to the same high school and college. But then they had gone on separate paths when Hazel had to return to the pack to take on a job at the pack’s infirmary.
It was a hard decision to make but the best she has ever made because it was a chance to repay the alpha and Luna of moon stone pack for sponsoring her through school and also giving her a good life.Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
Meagan was sad about parting ways with her best friend but she had to accept the fact that it was meant to be and they had made a promise to never let distance ruin their relationship. Meagan was lucky to find a job at Cleveland hospital, one of the best in the country where she worked as a medical doctor, monitoring, caring for patients, investigating, diagnosing and treating the health conditions of patients.
Meagan and Hazel had stayed in contact through phone calls, text messages and social media sites. Although in the space of one year they had seen each other rarely but their friendship still continued.
