Alpha Knight’s Cursed Mate

KNIGHT

Nirvana swallowed before she told them honestly, “I don’t know how.”

“That’s why we’re here. Maybe you have knowledge about spirit possession.”

“It sounds like a horror movie,” Sebastien joked.

“Honestly, I’d never encountered like this before, but during ancient times, lycans, werewolves, and other supernatural beings would pray to be in that spirit world when they died so they could come back to their family or be the warriors who had pure hearts and intentions,” Alexander said.

“So it’s like reincarnation.”

“Something like that, but more of a rebirth. You won’t have the same memories as Asina, who lives in you. You are still you, Nirvana.” Zarah touched her knee as a form of encouragement because I could see that she’d rather be human without this complication. “You are just given a gift to do good. At the same time, you’ve become stronger.”

“Yeah. I’m grateful, and at the same time, it feels weird knowing there’s something inside me.”

“You are not a werewolf; hence, you haven’t experienced the transformation process. You should start from that.”

“Good idea, Alpha King. We should try it,” she finally agreed on something.

“Let’s do it.” Zarah stood up and swiped her hand in the air. “I shield this room from the outside world.”

“What should I do?”

“Take off your jacket and stand up, my dear.”

She stood up, removed her jacket, and gave it to me before taking steps away from us. “Then what now.”

“Okay, Nirvana.” I went to her and cupped her face. “You can do this. Just relax your mind. Remember your meditation with Zarah? Just like that. Don’t of anything than-” Her face just gone in my palm, making me gasp. “Shit.”

“What the hell?” Zarah searched the room for her. “My spell didn’t work on her?”

“Where is she?” Alexander asked in shock.

“Did she just-?” Sebastien was on his feet, pointing at Zarah.

I went to the door to look for her, but it wouldn’t open. “Zarah, open the door. I need to find her.”

“Call her. I’ll check the CCTV,” the Alpha King said.

“Her phone was in her jacket pocket.” The moment the door opened, I rushed outside. “Nirvana!”

I went back to where the portal took us and looked around, but she wasn’t there. “Nirvana!”

Fuck. The castle was big, and it would take a while before we could find her, or worse if she teleported outside the property.

I ran to the back. It was beautiful around here, and the maze garden was spectacular.

“Nirvana?”

“Alpha Knight, we found her!”

“Where?” I ran towards the Italian man. I couldn’t contain my relief, and I could finally breathe. “Where is she?”

“She fell on the pool.”

“Is she okay?” I followed the man. The pool was just behind the office.

I rushed to her already with a towel wrapped around her. “Sweetheart?”

“Hey.” She coughed and looked shaken up, but I was relieved she was okay. I wrapped my arms around her and kissed the top of her head. “I swear to Goddess, I’m gonna die in a heart attack.”

“Does this happen often?” Sebastien asked.

“It happened, I think, three times now.” Her chin was trembling as she replied. “I did successfully once and made it to where I intended to be, but mostly involuntarily.”

“I think you should sleep and talk to Asina about this ability before you end up in dangerous places like the ocean, a busy street, or worse, in a vault. It’s great if you know how to get out of there. Then we can plan a heist.”Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.

She laughed. “That’s actually a pretty good idea, Alpha King.”

I groaned as I helped her up. “Don’t even try.”

“I was just joking.”

Let’s get you dry up,” Zarah said. “There are Shadow’s clothes you can wear. You both have the same size.”

“I will agree to meet Asina.”

“Sure. We’ll do it in the room.” She took us to the second floor and opened the door to the room. The clothes were already on the bed. “Let her change. We have to talk.”

“Don’t teleport, Nirvana. Just changed to dry clothes.” I closed the door behind us. She could hear us if she wanted to, but Zarah might have important things to discuss with me.

We walked far from the room until she held my arm.

“You two should complete the mating process if she cannot control the teleporting. At least you have a mental, emotional, and physical connection. I’m sure you both have developed feelings for each other. And I can sense she’s already a part of the pack.”

“Yes. We did the rituals. I was hoping to do the mating when she’s ready.”

“She is, but you still look at her as a fragile human.”

“What if she vanished while we’re making love?” My words made her think.

“Good question. I will let her fall asleep and meet Asina. When it still won’t work, then you just have to do it quickly. I’m sorry, Knight. I know this is pretty inconvenient, but it’s for her own good.” She was right. It was the only way to protect Nirvana, and somehow it made sense.

“Okay. I’ll talk to her.”

“Or just go to a romantic place or make a romantic gesture to begin with.”

I breathed deeply before we got back to the room. Nirvana was brushing her hair when she sensed us.

“We’ll do it right here?”

“Yes. I’ll go get an elixir so you can fall asleep quickly.”

“Hey.” I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her shoulder. “You scare me.”

“Me too. I was just standing before you all, and suddenly, I fell into the pool. I drank some pool water, and it still hurt my nostrils.”

“I’m sorry.” I let her turn so she could face me. “I will do everything to help you, but I’m as clueless as fuck right now, and I feel helpless.”

“We’ll find it out soon.” She tiptoed to kiss me on the lips. “And maybe we should take Zarah’s advice.”

My brows furrowed. “What advice?”

Her face turned beet red. “I don’t mean it, but I feel like you’re gonna talk about me.”

“But we’re far.”

“Not far enough.” She smiled shyly. “No need for a romantic gesture. You are romantic enough for me and a walking aphrodisiac.” She kissed me again.

“Glad to hear that.”

“Shut up. Zarah is coming.” She sat on the edge of the bed when Zarah knocked.

“Come in.”

“Take this.” Zarah had a small bottle with pink liquid. “Then lie down. It will effect quickly.”

Nirvana took the bottle and drank it empty. She grimaced after that. “That’s nasty and sweet at the same time.”

“Lie down.”

“Yeah.” She instantly yawned and lay on the bed. “That fast.”

Just a few seconds later, her eyes slowly closed.

“So what now?”

“I will wake her up after five minutes.”

“Does she have enough time to get the answer we’re looking for?”

“Yes. The time in the spirit world is different. She can’t stay longer there, or she will fall into a deep slumber.”

I groaned. “You should have told her that before you gave her that elixir.”

“Do you trust me, Knight?”

I snapped my head at Zarah. “Yes. That’s why I came to you.”

“Or you didn’t just have a choice.”

“I put our lives in your hands more than once. And I know you would never want to put Nirvana in danger. So yes. I trust you.” I blew a breath. “I’m just under a lot of stress, and our issues are not something I can solve on my own. I, maybe, am an alpha, but this is beyond my understanding.”

“She’ll be fine and get the answer she’s looking for.”

“Is it possible that a powerful warlock can glamour as Asina and pretend to be a spirit of the wolf just to lure Nirvana into his world?”
