Divorcing 85
Chapter 85: Not So Great
When Quinn heard her words, he knew something was up. He asked if she needed any help.
Chloe and he had been friends for years, and this situation made her uncomfortable. So, she seized the chance to spill the whole
story.
Quinn listened as she explained how Lucy had deliberately broken her phone. After a moment's thought, he said, "I know a guy who can fix phones."
Chloe turned to look at him; his expression said it all.
Her phone data might not be recoverable, but it's worth a shot.
"Thanks a bunch!"
Chloe thought about getting her phone fixed, but she didn't know anyone who could do it.
He helped her twice in a row. No matter what, she had to take him out for a meal to show her gratitude.
"What kind of food do you like?"
She knew a restaurant with pretty decent food. Their dishes were light and flavorful.

Quinn flashed a small, pleased smile. "I'm good with anything."
Quinn pulled out a chair for her as they stood in the restaurant. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
Chloe smiled and took her seat. While they were ordering, he kept asking about her tastes and any food she avoided.
He even remembered some of Chloe's food allergies that she herself had forgotten.
"Hold the garlic sprouts, please. Thanks!"
After placing his order, Quinn turned to the waiter and said,
He turned to Chloe and said, "I remember you don't like garlic
sprouts."
Chloe froze.
Before she married Michael, she really didn't like garlic sprouts.
Over the three years they'd been married, she'd gotten used to garlic sprouts. She didn't find their taste as unbearable as she once did.
She never expected quiet Quinn to remember her preferences. It was quite a surprise.
"How do you know?"
"We've ordered takeout together."
Chapter 85: Not So Great Chloe was slightly surprised.
As far as she could remember, she had only ordered takeout with Quinn once.
Just one time, and he remembered?
Soon, all the dishes were served. The waiter accidentally knocked her utensils off the table.
Chloe bent down to pick it up. Quinn didn't say a word. He just placed his hand on the corner of the table to keep her from hitting it when she stood up. Once she was safely on her feet, he finally withdrew his hand.
Chloe noticed his careful actions. She didn't say anything, but inside, she thought he was truly a thoughtful and gentle person.
He just wasn't much of a talker.
Halfway through the meal, Quinn slipped her favorite salmon onto her plate.
"How are things between you and your husband?"
Chloe's hand trembled as she held the fork. She remembered
how her drama with Michael had become public. Candy must have spilled the beans.
"Not greal."
Chapter 85: Not So Great
This was the only word she could use to describe her marriage with Michael.
Quinn pressed his lips together, lost in thought, unsure if he should speak.
"Just spit it out."
They used to be colleagues. Now, they're kinda friends.
He didn't need to hide his thoughts from her.
"Just curious, why would someone as amazing as you waste time on a guy like Michael?"
Chloe bit her fork and fell silent.
She was rethinking her marriage with Michael.
It was obvious to everyone, even to an outsider like Quinn, that Michael treated her poorly.
Turns out, outsiders can see things more clearly and fully. Sometimes, she really should listen to others' opinions.
She wasted three years chasing an impossible dream, driven by youth and a stubborn spirit.
How many three-year stretches does life really give us?
She had no time to get tangled up with Michael anymore.
