Divorcing 68
Chapter 68: Rage
"Chloe, you're savage."
She had to play the obedient girl in front of Michael for three whole years. It was quite a sacrifice.
So this is the real her, bold and unapologetic.
"We're pretty much the same," Chloe snapped back.
If he hadn't pushed her, she wouldn't have done it this way.
Seeing Michael's serious face, Chloe thought he was mad.
"From now on, every time the Shawn family invites me to a party, I'll be there. They want to embarrass me? Not gonna happen. If you're ashamed, sign the divorce papers. Otherwise, I can't promise I won't do something that'll disgrace the Shawn family."
As long as she's unfazed, the awkwardness is on everyone else.
Now that Michael is linked to her, if Chloe gets embarrassed,
he'll lose face too.
Michael didn't want to go public with the marriage because he thought staying single was more convenient for his image.
But he was more worried that Chloe wouldn't fit into their social

circle.
Michael never expected her to care so much.
He wore a dark scowl, lost in thought.
Chloe felt she had crossed Michael's line. Knowing his temper, he'd probably draft a new divorce agreement any minute now. After all, he despised her.
Chloe upset Lucy today, so Michael probably dislikes her even more now and can't wait to get away from her.
Michael floored the gas pedal and sped off, not saying a word
about the divorce.
After a long silence, Chloe sensed something was off. She couldn't help but ask, "Michael, don't you think I've embarrassed you?" "Nice job standing up to them. As long as you don't end up in tears, say whatever you want."
Chloe suspected the person next to her wasn't Michael at all.
He's actually that tolerant of her?
Chloe felt deflated. She'd put so much effort into this, even attending a party she hated, all just to push him into a divorce.
In the end, Michael still refused to get a divorce.
Chapter 68: Rage
Was it that she hadn't pushed the boundaries enough, or had she simply not hit his breaking point?
No way! Chloe was nothing but a stain on his past!
Michael drove all the way to Lotus Manor. By the time Chloe realized what was happening, it was too late to escape.
She refused to budge from the passenger seat.
"I don't live here."
Every time she saw the wedding room, it made her sick.Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
Without a word, Michael slid out of the driver's seat, opened the door, and scooped her up in his arms.
"Ah! Michael, put me down!"
Chloe was stunned by his actions and struggled hard, but Michael held her firmly the entire time.
The two headed straight to the bedroom.
He shut the door, locked it in one smooth motion.
Chloe eyed him warily.
"What are you up to?"
Michael arched an eyebrow and said, "Just as you thought."
Chapter 68: Rage
They're still married, so what's the big deal about sharing a bed?
Chloe was fuming, sitting stiffly on the master bedroom sofa. She glared at him, "Why are you going nuts?"
Is he out of his mind?
They're about to get divorced. How could they still sleep together?
"Either take me back, or get out."
Michael raised an eyebrow.."Either you get yourself to bed, or I carry you."
