Chapter 949: Red from Crying
Her eyes were sensitive to touch, and she instinctively closed them.
Her fluffy eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings, brushing against his lips. Perhaps because it tickled, Brendon quickly pulled back and kissed the corner of her eye.
It was hot and red.
When it touched his lips, it felt even hotter.
“Don’t cry anymore, okay? Never cry again,” Brendon said softly, reaching out to hug her.
“What happened?” Brendon asked again.
Ranita bit her lip and patted the seat next to her. “Do you want to sit down and talk?”
Brendon shook his head. “Standing tall gives a better view. This way, I can see you more clearly. Ranita, your eyes look beautiful when they’re red from crying.”
With that, Brendon’s deep eyes grew even darker.
His Adam’s apple moved.
He suddenly wanted to see if she looked just as beautiful when she cried because of him…
“You… jerk! Don’t look at me like that!” Ranita felt his gaze was dangerous and stepped back, only to bump into the wall, hitting her head with a thud.
“Ouch!”
The pain cleared her mind a bit. She held the back of her head and glared at Brendon angrily. “It’s all your fault! I told you to sit down!”
Brendon chuckled softly. “You bumped yourself; why blame me?”
“Brendon!” Ranita’s ears turned red from his words. She didn’t really want to blame anyone; she just…
Couldn’t help but want to act spoiled with Brendon.
“Alright, alright! It’s my fault!” Brendon said, pinching her fingers gently. “Can you tell me why you’re crying?”
Ranita looked at Brendon for a while before saying, “Did you do something to Rodolfo?”
“Did he come by just now?” Brendon frowned. He could guess a bit and reached out to pull Ranita’s head onto his shoulder. “Did you argue with your parents?”
“Or with Chole?”
Ranita gritted her teeth. “Is Chole worth crying over?”
Brendon chuckled softly again. “You’re right! Don’t cry anymore; I’ll take care of everything!”
Ranita looked at him. “Hmph! It’s because of you. If it weren’t for you, Rodolfo wouldn’t have been on his knees begging for forgiveness, and things wouldn’t have turned out like this.”
“But thank you.”
After the incident, everyone at Bowman’s Mansion was busy taking care of the two elders; no one wanted to investigate the truth behind it.All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
Only Brendon helped clear her name.
Although she had argued with Alexia, Ranita felt a bit better inside.
“You’re being polite again! Our relationship… doesn’t need thank-yous!” Brendon said, glancing at her with a smile in his eyes.
Ranita quickly moved away a bit, huffing. “Who’s in a relationship with you!”
She got up and walked away, but Brendon caught up and grabbed her hand tightly. “How can we not be? Our child is already in kindergarten!”
“And there might be another one on the way…”
Hearing this, Ranita’s eyes widened! She thought of her previous dream and covered the man’s mouth with her hand. “Don’t talk nonsense!”
Her palm was soft.
Brendon lightly nibbled on it with his teeth and then licked it with his tongue!
Ranita felt like melting into honey and withdrew her hand. “You’re so dirty!”
Brendon smiled with a curve of his lips.
He wrapped his arm around Ranita’s waist, looked around to make sure no one was there, and boldly leaned down to kiss her.
Her lips were captured.
Passionate and slightly domineering.
Ranita’s head spun as she pushed him away, murmuring, “Someone’s coming… stop it…”
