Chapter 941: Missing You
Oh my God.
Not only gentle but also washing dishes for the child himself?!
Were they hearing things, or was there something wrong with the world… The regional bosses suddenly felt a bit dizzy. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
Was this really real?
“Mr. Stuart… over there…” someone with a bit more courage nervously asked, “Do you need to pause the meeting?”
Brendon remained extremely calm, “No need. Do you have anything else to add? If not, let’s adjourn the meeting!”
After the meeting, he could wash the dishes.
“No, nothing else!” The executives responded mechanically in unison, and then one by one, they quickly contacted Caleb Stuart after Brendon went offline.
For a moment, Caleb Stuart’s phone was incredibly busy.
But Caleb Stuart was Brendon’s right-hand man, and in no time, he reported the situation to Brendon.
“Mr. Stuart, everyone is asking me about Ayaan. On my end…”
“It’s okay, do as you see fit!” Brendon casually replied, indicating his stance.
Caleb Stuart was slightly stunned.
“Alright, I understand what to do.”
“By the way, how’s the task I assigned you?” Brendon asked as he walked to the kitchen and saw Ayaan standing on a stool obediently washing his hands, a smile appearing on his face.
Ayaan looked a lot like him when he was young.
“It’s done, rest assured.” Caleb Stuart said, silently mourning for someone who had foolishly decided to provoke Ranita.
Brendon hung up the phone and helped Ayaan dry his hands. “Do you want to watch TV or read a book?”
“Or play with the toy train?”
Ayaan looked at Brendon. “Daddy, I spoke just now.”
He had promised not to speak in the study room. Ayaan looked at him pitifully. “Ayaan was naughty.”
“It’s okay. The meeting was almost over; it didn’t affect Daddy.”
“Really?” Ayaan asked with wide eyes. “Then is Daddy angry?”
“Not angry.” Brendon felt Ayaan was excessively sensible, and his heart ached for him. “You’re still young; it’s normal to be a little naughty.”
Ayaan smiled and hugged Brendon’s leg, looking up and softly saying, “Daddy, you’re so good.”
“Can I video call Mommy? I want to talk to Mommy.”
Brendon pinched his cheek. “No wonder you’re flattering me; you have an agenda!”
Brendon complied, and Ayaan took the phone to his room to talk to Ranita. By the end of the call, his eyes were red.
Brendon finally managed to coax him to sleep.
Even though it was just one day, it was quite tiring. Brendon called Ranita back and saw her hiding sneakily in a corner, chuckling. “Having an affair?”
“Nonsense!” Ranita gritted her teeth. “My dad woke up and hasn’t slept yet!”
“Thank you for your hard work today!” Ranita thought of Ayaan, her heart softening. “Ayaan can be quite a handful sometimes.”
Ranita’s lips were red and teeth white, her eyes lively on the screen, making Brendon’s heart itch.
“Ranita, can you come home tomorrow?”
Ranita shook her head. “Probably not! My dad might need a few more days before he can go home.”
“Is there something wrong with Ayaan?”
“No! Ayaan is fine.” After a pause, Brendon said in a low voice, “It’s me… I miss you.”
Ranita’s cheeks turned red at his words, and she said coyly, “What nonsense!”
She lowered her eyelashes, not daring to look at Brendon.
“I’m not talking nonsense. I miss you very much.” Brendon propped his chin on his hand, looking at Ranita with eyes full of tender light. He smiled gently. “Do you miss me?”
