Chapter 210
Chapter 210
Qemal thought he was about to be choked to death earlier. The feeling of being on the verge of death sent a chill down his spine.
His face was filled with terror as he looked at Liam. His tone had a hint of reluctance to accept defeat. He bellowed, "Liam, how-how dare you attack me! You wanted to strangle me! I'm going to tell Grandpa about this. Just wait! I won't let you off!"
"It looks like you've forgotten about the warning I gave you when I broke your arm before this. Complain all you want. You won't be so lucky next time." Liam sneered.
After he carried Jovie and comforted her, he turned around and headed to the cottage. Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
Qemal coughed for a few minutes before he recovered and got up from the ground.
Sherah felt sorry for him as she helped him up. She asked, "Are you alright, Qemal? Quick, let me have a look. I can't believe that damn Liam had the guts to attack you so ruthlessly. Let me take a look and see if you're severely hurt."
Qemal's face was flushed as he put his hand on his throat. His eyes were filled with resentment. He desperately wanted to slice Liam up to vent his anger.
"Mom, did you see what Liam did? He-he was going to strangle me! He wanted to choke me to death!" Qemal shouted angrily.
He secretly vowed that he would let Liam and Celena receive the most severe punishment one day.
Sherah said, "Hmph! Let's go to your grandpa. Liam is just a loser who's relying on our family. How could he have the money to buy such an expensive car? He must have talked Celena into embezzling the money. Let's tell your grandpa about this.
"Reginald hates people who steal and neglect their duty the most. He certainly will punish Celena and Liam severely when the time comes. He might even banish both of them from the family. By then, it would be a piece of cake for us to deal with them."
The more Sherah spoke, the more she felt she made sense. She even thought of how she was going to deal with Liam and Celena after they were kicked out of the family.
Qemal's eyes twinkled and he had a scheming look while he listened to his mother. He agreed and said, "You're right, Mom. Come on. Let's hurry up and go look for Grandpa now. We have to tell him that Celena is misappropriating the money. I'd like to see if Liam can still be so arrogant."
As he said that, both Qemal and Sherah ran to see Reginald.
Once they got to the door, they changed their expressions. They acted like they suffered a great grievance and barged in while crying.
Qemal even dropped to his knees right in front of Reginald while wailing. He said, "Grandpa, you have to seek justice for me! Liam almost strangled me just now. Look at my neck. You can still see his handprint."
Sherah echoed while wiping her tears, looking incredibly aggrieved.
"He's right. Liam has truly gone over the board! He has no self-awareness at all. He's just a retired soldier, yet he's so reckless. He almost choked Qemal to death earlier!"
Reginald saw the bruises on Qemal's neck as soon as he came in. He looked so heartbroken.
Qemal learned all the tricks to fawn over others from Sherah, so he would usually make Reginald very happy. That was why among all of his grandchildren, Reginald was more biased toward Qemal.
"How bold of him! I was kind enough to take him in and let him stay in the Stone Mansion. Yet, this is how he repays me? Is he trying to end the bloodline of the Stone family?" Reginald shouted angrily, banging his walking stick on the floor.
What Qemal said next made Reginald blow his lid.
