Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 627

Chapter 627

The elder's eyes snapped open, and his gaze landed on the liquor next to Justin. He snatched it up in one swift move, wrenching the cork off and draining its contents like he was starved.

After he was done, the elder wiped his mouth and looked at Justin. "What's the matter?"

"There's someone I'd like you to kill, sir," said Justin.

The elder glanced at Justin. "They must be pretty powerful for you to come asking me for help."

"Yes. I think he's a Sanctuary level cultivator," said Justin.

The elder barked out a laugh. "You young folks are getting brave, aren't you? Messing with a Sanctuary level cultivator, hm?"

"I need this man dead. Please help me just this once, sir," said Justin.

The elder fell silent for a beat, before saying, "You've taken good care of my family in the past decade or so, giving me the time and space to focus on cultivating. I thank you for that, but surely I shouldn't have to kill a Sanctuary level to express my gratitude?"

Justin's face fell at once, but he still said, "Alright, then. I won't be in your way anymore, sir."

He got to his feet, bowing to the elder, and turned to leave.

Just then, the elder said, 'But I've been a peak Sanctuary cultivator for over a decade, too. I might just be in need of a battle to reach new heights in my cultivation. Let me ask you this. Is he very powerful?"

"I think so. He was able to wound three peak Ambience level cultivators with just one move," said Justin.

The elder chuckled. "Sanctuary level beating Ambience level isn't really a fair comparison. Fine, tell me his name and address and I'll pay him a visit. I hope he doesn't disappoint me."

Justin practically lit up. "His name is Wilbur Penn, he's the owner of Cape International in Seechertown. He also goes by Trevor Penn, head of the Kardon Province Cultivators Association and top dog of Kardon Province."

It was clear that Justin had done his research on Wilbur.

The elder paused momentarily. He let out a long howl, a powerful burst of spiritual energy exploding from his body that sent Justin flying almost a hundred meters before landing heavily on the road outside.

The straw hut collapsed as well, turning to dust from the impact of the spiritual energy before drifting into the air.

A spiritual vortex appeared right above the elder's head in the sky, slowly spreading out like a dark cloud.

The sudden burst of spiritual energy almost destroyed Justin completely, and he was hurled over a hundred meters backward before finally catching his balance in shock and awe.

Justin stared at the spiritual energy condensing above the elder's head and started to show a wicked grin. The elder let out another howl that rang through the air, looking up at the stars as he murmured to himself, "It seems like the people have forgotten the name Sullivan Cromwell.

Later that night, Wilbur returned to his room on Sealake Island reeking of alcohol.

He collapsed on his bed, shaking his head hard a few times. The four of them had downed six bottles of whiskey on their own, and Wilbur was honestly a little dizzy.

Yet not long after he had lied down, something came into his mind.

Wilbur sat up with a start, entering his demiplane at once and snatching up the Crystal Bone.

He had been hesitating on whether he should contribute the Crystal Bone to the Dragon's Altar or absorb its energy ever since he had gotten it.Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.

It would be a brilliant contribution, as it held an immense energy that surpassed the Blood Embryo he had gotten.

But it also held a pure energy that Wilbur knew would take his powers to another level if he were to absorb it.

After thinking for a long while, he decided to contribute it to the Dragon's Altar. That old dragon had many more tempting things to offer him in comparison.

With a sigh, Wilbur hurled the Crystal Bone onto the Dragon's Altar.
