A Relentless Pursuit for Love

Chapter 102

Chapter 102

Horrified, Yeva shot her eyes wide open. Leah too looked at her shockingly, “How did you know?”

“You can get everything from the internet these days.”

Gnawing on her lips, Yeva retorted, “If I can’t go to Jewel Norah, then let me work at Norah Entertainment. Even though I don’t know a lot, I have got the looks. Plus I know quite a lot of artists.”

“By artists, you meant Minnie and the rest of the girls from Starship Entertainment? They were kicked out of the industry after insulting someone. The entertainment industry is too complicated for someone like you. With that dumb brain of yours, you won’t b e able to last long.”

“What did you say? They were kicked out?”

Yeva was too startled by the news that she missed Sage’s insult at her. Still in shock, she asked, “Who did Minnie offended?”

Sage uttered slowly. “Me.”

Yeva was rendered speechless.

After breakfast, Sage and Leah left the dining table. Neither of them bothered to take another look at Yeva who was still shocked b y the news.

Just when she was about to get into the car, one of the bodyguards working at Rosa Garden walked over to Sage and reported,” Ma’am, there is a car that was pulled over at the street opposite and it has been there since last night. And this is not the first time.”

Furrowing her brows slightly, Sage looked toward where the bodyguard was referring and noticed the black sedan car.

*The car plate seemed to show that they’re from Nadeem City.”

From the CCTV video, Sage managed to have a better look at the car. She realized that it was a black Rolls-Royce and it had a car plate number that she was familiar with. It was Jace’s car.

Sage was puzzled. He had clearly left last night. What was he doing here?

With her brows knitted tightly together, she received a call from Yoel. Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

Answering the call, Yoel greeted her, “Good morning, darling.”

Yoel had discussed with his father regarding the horse-racing project and his father had accepted Sage’s proposal but with one condition: Yuriel Group had to be on board for this project as well.

“Jace had agreed, so the choice is yours now. As long as you accept this collaboration, we’ll be able to start the project right away!”

Sage’s eyes were clouded. Inwardly, she was setting. “Yoel Fulton, you’re messing with me, aren’t you?”

“We’re talking business, Sage. Don’t get so worked up.”

Yoel continued to comfort her, “My dad was opposed to your idea and insisted on the concept of gentrification. It was only when Jace called him up and tried to persuade him that my dad finally changed his mind. In any case, what’s important is that my dad had agreed. Do you want to know

what’s weirder? I didn’t even mention your idea to Jace but he proposed the same idea as you. Tell me honestly, did the both of you talk about this previously?”

What was there to even talk about with Jace?

Sage’s face darkened. Jace had never really cared to talk to her so why would there be a chance for them to discuss ideas?

“Think about it, Sage. There’s nothing to lose if Yuriel Group joins us. You’re a smart lady and I’m sure you know better about the advantages and disadvantages. Just think about it, hmm?”

Sage snickered coldly, “Just drop the flattery. You and Jace are birds of a feather. Both of you must be cooking up something to plot against me.”

“Oh, I can assure you that that is absolutely not the case. I am just an accessory in the picture, I would appreciate it if you could please direct your anger and resentment only to Jace.” Chuckling, Yoel asked, “So? He’s already there, isn’t he?”

Annoyed, Sage replied, “What do you think?”

Laughing, Yoel continued, “There’s another thing that I have to tell you, umm…I might have accidentally told him that you’re a professional hacker and also a professional chef. You can drop the act of being humble now.”

Sage was rendered speechless.

A fresh swell of rage rose in Sage. “Yoel Fulton, are you looking to get yourself killed?”

“Absolutely not. It’s just that I’m feeling a bit excited after getting to know the little story between the both of you. Why didn’t you tell me that you’re the girl that was kidnapped back then?”

Yoel continued rambling on, “I was a part of the Cloud Forest mission ten years ago too. To be fair, if Jace is your savior, I should be considered as your savior too, right? Isn’t it better for you to have a crush on me than him…”

There was a flicker across Sage’s eyes as she turned around to look at the car. Did it mean that Jace had known about it too?
